Locksmith in Gaithersburg, MD
Gaithersburg is a service area of our Rockville shop at 313 Congressional Lane — the next city north on Route 355. It is the largest town we cover, and the most varied: a genuine old town, planned communities from the 1990s, and new apartment districts, each with different doors on them.

What we do here
Every division covers Gaithersburg. Pick the one that matches the problem, or call and describe it.
Gaithersburg, street by street
Olde Towne Gaithersburg, around the MARC station on the Brunswick line, is the historic core — older storefronts and houses where the hardware has been accumulating in layers for a century. Down Frederick Avenue, which is what Route 355 is called here, runs the strip-commercial spine: shopping centres, auto businesses and services, with apartment complexes tucked behind for most of its length.
The west side is the planned communities. Kentlands and Lakelands, built new-urbanist in the 1990s and 2000s, put shopfronts on Market Street, alleys and detached garages behind the houses, and homeowner associations over all of it — which shapes the work: rear garage doors and alley gates that street-facing suburbs do not have, and hardware choices that need to satisfy an HOA as well as a lock cylinder. Crown and the blocks around Rio, the Washingtonian Center's lakeside shopping and restaurant district, are the newest layer — apartment buildings where smart locks and fob systems are standard and unit lockouts are the routine call.
Gaithersburg also works for a living: the NIST federal campus sits off Quince Orchard Road and I-270, and business parks line the interstate. Muddy Branch Road, Shady Grove Road and Montgomery Village Avenue tie the pieces together.
Where the calls come from
Residential calls span the whole range: rekeys and hardware upgrades in the older streets around Olde Towne, HOA-constrained work in Kentlands and Lakelands, garage and alley-gate hardware in the alley-loaded blocks, and apartment lockouts in the complexes along 355 and around Crown and Rio. Commercial work comes from the Market Street and Olde Towne shopfronts, the 355 strip centres and the business parks — deadlatches, aluminium glass doors, master key systems, and lock changes when units turn over. Vehicle work follows the big parking: the Rio garages and lots, the shopping centres along Frederick Avenue, and the MARC station lots where commuters discover at 6pm that the key went to work in someone else's pocket.
